Embedded Furry Friend

I'm trying something for the first time. My summer schedule is always crazy and it's hard for me to sit down and create a doodle, plus I'm working on a big family project—slowly. So, for the first time I am trying to "embed" a video onto my blog. (I hope this works.)

This is a video we shot recently—a few evenings ago. I was sitting at my drawing table in our home office, which is separated from our kitchen by the laundry room, and heard my wife make a "distressed" sound. I rushed out to find what the problem was. She said that she had just seen a mouse poke his head around the corner next to the freezer. Realizing that this might be a good opportunity for a video I told our daughter to grab the camera. So, while my daughter perched herself safely on top of the washer, she videoed the attempt of me and daughter's boyfriend's attempt to extract the furry freezer friend out from under his hiding place. My wife, who was reluctantly holding a flashlight so that I could see behind the freeze, had a couple of interesting reactions to the unfolding event.

And yes, we are planning to send a copy to AFV.

To Alice: Not as far as the mouse was concerned.

I thought you were hilarious the way you were backing away and trying to be the strong man at the same time.

As for Marylynn, I would be squealing just like her! That's what us women are suppose to do!

Too bad we don't have a video of the bat flying in front of my face during the night. Trust me, I was NOT calm!

Great job with the embedded video! And a great share of the family moment with a mouse. :)
