The community of Brookings provides an interesting opportunity for viewing fireworks. They shot them off down at our little port over the bay. Often there is an ocean fog hanging in the air and so sometimes all you get to see is a big colored blur in the sky. But this year the weather was perfect for viewing. And, for the first time, (thanks to our daughter Marla) we took a position across the river from where they shoots the fireworks off. It was a great spot.
I took a lot of photos but it's hard to get a decent shot with my little point and shoot camera. Here a few of the better ones. The reflection of the explosions off the ocean makes for an interesting photo. I think that I like the last photo the best. What do you think?
God bless America!!

your little "point and shoot" does a pretty good job! beautiful shots :)
We had a great fireworks show over the bay here too (on Canada Day, July 1). But my husband was in the U.S. at the time, so I was trying to take pictures with my phone and send them to him - your pics turned out way better than mine did! He enjoyed 4th of July fireworks where he was anyway. :)
