The Umpqua River Valley

When we flew back from Oklahoma we landed in Portland in a snow storm. We had to drive two hours before we could stop for the night. The night day we woke to a fresh layer of snow all around. The drive down the Umpqua River Valley, on our way back to the coast, was beautiful. Even though we had a four hour trip I took time to stop along the way to take a few photos. Here are some of the shots I got.

I think this one might be my favorite. It's either this one or the barn shot at the top. Please feel free to Copy & Share If You Date. The photos are fairly large and would make good screen saver material, I think.

Wow, we got our first snow in Cleveland, Ohio today but it looked nothing like that. Seeing snow in that way makes it almost bearable.

Rick, Thanks for sharing your Umpqua snow pictures and an invitation to your site. Your photos would fit nicely within the site Panoramio by the way and Google would grab them onto their site too when many would be able to view the beauty here.

Thanks again. Keep in touch. ron

The pictures are beautiful, some are surreal. Makes me misss Alaska. You asked a question in November about my cards. I don't create them on the computer, it is all done by hand with paper, embelishments, and stamps.
