That Happy Time of Year

(Click on the image to zoom in.)

This isn't a new joke, but one that perhaps you can relate to. The quality is not the best because my scanner isn't cooperating. so I just took a photo of it and then spent too much time working with it in Photoshop.

This is another "Copy & Share If You Dare" illustration. You have my permission to steal use it as you wish. Just drop me a note if you post it some place where I can get a peek. I live for the attention that it gives me - my ego is so weak.

Since ours don't go back until Sept 8th I'll hang on to it a while. I'm so pleased your schools go back earlier as it means us Brits on hols get better prices and shorter queues at Disney - wooo hooo!

That is so funny. I am happy I do not do that dance anylonger, but sure do remember. It wasn't that long ago.

I'd love to use this, but I'd have to change the words from the kids to: "I guess Mom forgot we're homeschooled."

To Deborah:Good one! That would have been equally as funny.

Oh I just love this one Rick!
My kids go back on September 3rd and I will share your illustration when the time is right.
I will let you know when. Thanks for the permission!
And hey! You're in Brookings? I live in Portland! My uncle lived in Brookings and just loved it.
He passed on the chance to buy the house that he was renting and has regretted it every second since. (I've seen his pictures and I don't blame him.)
What a beautiful place it must be.

This is so me. LOL After taking my kids school shopping today and dealing with their whining about being bored, pickiness on what we were going to buy, and complaining of hunger, I was ready to drop them off at home for dad and make an escape for a few days, then I came to reality and realized that was not option. :) Three more weeks until school starts here, and it's not soon enough. No really I love my kids and I know one day I will miss all these moments of craziness..

Thanks for commenting on my blog.

Snagged and posted with credit given, complete with link. I'm down to counting the hours till they head off to school...leaving me to tend to my business without an audience.
