Family Practice - Panty Hose

I'm telling you, many of these cartoons are very autobiographical. How many times have I walked in the bathroom, to take a shower, only to discover my wife's under garments hanging there to dry. When I have threatened to put my under shorts up for display she doesn't seem to understand the correlation. I've yet to actually do it, but drawing this cartoon did give me some satisfaction.

I think that every man out there can identify with my plight. What do you think?

Cannon

This is a drawing of Cannon, one of Johnny's grandson. From what I understand, Cannon doesn't let his wheel chair slow him down too much. I guess that it's appropriate that his name is Cannon. I decided to soup up his ride a bit by adding the pipes and flames. I've not had the chance to meet Cannon, but I hope to someday.

Johnny

This is a caricature I did of a few month back of friend I've known for a number of years. One of his three beautiful daughters (It takes a special man to be a father to three beautiful girls.) wanted me to draw it for a birthday gift. I know the family from two great years of living out in the little community of Camp Creek - NW Oklahoma. You won't find it on a map. Johnny is a great guy and I was happy to do it for him.

Actually, I think this is one of the best caricature that I have done. I just really like the way it turned out. This is the black and white version. I'll post the color one soon.

Johnny enjoys hunting. We spent one fall morning hunting some wild turkey together - a very difficult creature to hunt. If you're one of those that opposes hunting you might be happy to learn that I gave myself a black-eye on the scope of the gun when I fired it. But the turkey tasted good.

Holy Fire in Color

Here is the colored version of Holy Fire. To tell you the truth, I'm not really sure I like how it turned out. I think the colt gets lost in the way I colored in the letters. I think if I had to do it over again I would choose a much simpler scheme for the letters. I was trying to create a fire effect without using the same colors that are in the horse's mane and tail.

I haven't given it to the friends that commissioned it. I hope that they like it.

Holy Fire

I just finished the ink on this drawing. I am drawing this for some friends who have a son that owns a colt he named Holy Fire. He wanted something akin to my Holy Ghost Rider drawing. I really like how this turned out and I will be coloring it in soon - will post it when I get it done.
