I'm telling you, many of these cartoons are very autobiographical. How many times have I walked in the bathroom, to take a shower, only to discover my wife's under garments hanging there to dry. When I have threatened to put my under shorts up for display she doesn't seem to understand the correlation. I've yet to actually do it, but drawing this cartoon did give me some satisfaction.
I think that every man out there can identify with my plight. What do you think?

I do find it funny that women do this. What gets me is that I'm encouraged to do this when I'm in a tight spot -- and it is hard to compute. :)
I don't get this at all - and I'm a woman. Maybe it's a territory marker or something. Flatmates in the past have refused to use drying racks etc. I've provided - nor have they understood my attempts to subtly explain that underwear that's attractive enough to display really deserves better treatment than the shower curtain rod.
Last summer was hot here, and one of my flatmates and I started hanging around our non-air-conditioned flat in underwear. (That's probably what men think happens in women-only flatshares all the time. Sure, and those catalog photos of men standing around a lodge fireplace in underwear is how men behave on hunting trips.) Then the third flatmate tried to loosen up and follow suit ... and it was bad. Sorry to leave men out of this equation, and I do feel your pain, but women should have more respect for other _women_ than to hang nylons on shower curtain rods and parade saggy, greyed, worn-out skivvies.
Ha! That is so funny.
Too bad that I don't really hang my panties out to dry...I dry them in the dryer...hmmmm....maybe THAT'S why they are all scraggly and torn....
I need to start hanging them in the shower...
For now, I'll keep the ones on my header...
So glad you stopped by!
You are very talented!
Too funny. Reminds me of when my mother married my step-father back in '72. Poor guy. He married a woman with 4 daughters, 3 female cats with 8 kittens each..and moved into a house with one bathroom. He spent time watering the bushes every so often. haha.
