Dampening Your Christmas Spirit

Somebody please tell the artist that just because he can imagine it, that doesn't mean that it had to be drawn.

Here I go again, taking a cynical look at Christmas. What is it with me and this holiday season? I really do like Christmas. I promise! I'm just trying to be funny. Which is something that usually gets me into trouble.

I hope that my mom doesn't see this one. Becky, Jan (my sisters) don't tell her either. She might call me up and use my full name and talk to me with her mommy voice. You know the one?

Anyway, I hope that I have not dampened your Christmas spirit.

And yes, this IS a Copy & Share If Your Dare (seriously - if you dare) doodle. Let your conscience be your guide. That is, if you've still got one.

Now Other Stuff: Kelly Jean, the Coffee Bean, posted this photo of her little blogging corner in her mocha flavored world. This is where she types out her wisdom to the world. Note that there are three of my doodles, all nice and framed, hanging above there.

Thanks for sharing Bean-O. My ittle bitty ego thrives on the attention. Is there any other reason to do all this?

This is hilarious, and unfortunately how I am feeling about Christmas this year.

Thanks for stopping by my site. Idaho does have great potatoes, but great cheese comes from happy cows and happy cows come from California.

In no way did it dampen my Christmas spirit.. it just made me laugh!!! I love it! I'm going to have to show my hubby when he gets home tonight.

that's great. I hope your mom doesn't find out and have to use her mommy voice. I hate that. ;)

I like Christmas, the feeling, the spirit, the decorations...HATE the shopping and the materialism, hate the parties every single weekend night until New Years. Let me rephrase..I dislike the ones we HAVE to attend (work, colleague parties) but really enjoy the friend and family get togethers.

ps my son is an artist, a little sketcher and he'd love this. I'll have to show it to him!

I had to click it bigger to really see it. That's pretty good. Everywhere I see Christmas decorations and it's Christmas Market season, it's taking over the world.

Your doodle puts things in a nice perspective :)

Rick, I had to share about your pic of the reindeer. I told paula what I wrote in your comment box and she said. "Well when I saw the picture I thought, WOW,,the reindeer is putting out the fire for Santa", lol. I thought.. 'wow!! Your right. Now I will tell all the children,,,'and the reindeer pee down the chimney so Santa can make it down and not get burned, bringing you your presents!!"

This is my first visit to your blog. You are great! What talent. I may have some talents (I'm still looking for them but I know they are they somewhere) but drawing is not one of them. Love the wit.

OMG! I feel just like this these past few days. Hope it changes with the kids being home since I am in no mood to put up decorations, finish shopping or even doing the laundry. I hate this season and I hope for January to come quickly. Poor Eggy. Not quick enough for him to not get doodled on....LOL!
