The Last Hole

Here's just another little drawing that I put together sometime back. This was another attempt to draw something someone would want to purchase as a gift for a loved one. Since I live in the NW, bears have been a reoccurring theme in my cartoons. They make great subject matter for cartoons.

One night, not long ago, my wife and I actually saw a bear on our road not far from our house. At first we thought it was a big black dog, but upon closer inspection we realized that it was a bear exploring our neighbor's fruit trees. He didn't stick around long - up the hill and crashing through the trees in the dark. That's life on America's Wild Rivers Coast (as they call it).

I have never heard the term Wild Rivers Coast. It is a cute drawing though. We have some bobcats, a few mountain lions, coyotes and rattle snakes in Nebraska.

That is a pretty cool drawing. It reminds me of something you would see in the Far Side cartoons. You have a wonderful talent.
Hey, thanks for the strike-through code on your previous post. For a HTML dummie like me, it helps to learn these little things. Can't wait to try it!

I saw a real, live, wild bear on the Alaska Highway once. It made me really happy.

OMG hello you thought a snake was bad. You have BEARS!!!!!! NO way I could not handle having a bear near my house. The possums are bad enough.

Great cartoon. I'm definitely allergic to wildlife especially large free foraging bears!

Love it. It perfectly expresses what I sometimes fantasize about looking at the golf course behind my house when I'm feeling particularly ornery.

I just skimmed through some of your blog and enjoyed the drawings. Wish I had kept up my sketching after my high school art classes.

Oh this reminds me of our trip to Helen 2 years ago. We went camping up on the moutain. My whole family left to go explore the river while I was left at camp to cook. I kept hearing something in the near bushes. Well the next morning, a bear was tearing apart our cooler of fresh meat. He even dragged it down the mountain like it was a lollipop. MY hubby went after it and the kids and I ran to the car. I told him I was going to write "stupid" on his headstone if it attacked him..lol It was about 3 feet away from us. I was terrified!
