Fish Ain't Bite'n

We're stilling cleaning up after the wedding. It just goes on, and on, and on...

This is another doodle I did for my friend, Teri, that works at the Pharmacy where I get my copies made.

I posted one earlier that I drew of her brother. This is her son. There was some kind of story about a pumpkin sprouting up in an old boat of his - thus the pumpkin in his mighty vessel.

I get a lot of opportunities to do fishing drawings where I live (here, and here for examples.) It's Salmon season and the port is full of boaters looking for a bite.

The mind boggles with the pumpkin story!

I love the expression on his face.

Good luck with the cleaning up!

I was wondering about the pumpkin. I thought maybe you added it to make your drawing seasonal. Nice touch with the hook in the fishes mouth, it finishes the story off nicely.

Rick, how on earth did you get over 40 followers on your blog? I have 5 (*shrugs shoulders and thinks no one likes her* *sniff*).

You have a FASCINATING blog! At first I just looked at the fish ain't biting and knew my husband would love it, then I explored even more and found the doodles super good, but the way you use them with pictures and stories is even better reading. I especially like the way you communicate (like the best Elvis voice on receiving your award). Very nice blog!
