Airplane Art - Losing the Christmas Spirit?

Have you lost your Christmas spirit yet?
This is another bit of airplane art - one that I have been saving to post in the middle of the Christmas rush. Feel free to pass it along to your friends that are in a "Bah, Humbug" mood at the moment.

P.S. Did you know that there is a Humbug Mt. on the Oregon Coast. I've wonder if Ebenezer Scrooge lives at the top. I guess that I'll never find out - it's a three mile hike to the top.

Here's a photo that I took of the base of the mountain. I live about an hour south of there.

Rick - great doodles! Now, let's see you do a cuttlefish! (Thx for the comment- I don't get a lot of traffic, but hopefully any that I do will pop their heads in.)

My Christmas spirit will be in serious jeopardy if I don't slow down.
*deep breath*
I've been waiting for someone at the girls' school to pull the tree's act of taking Christmas away from them. I'm so not ready to deal with that. Especially after Abby told me tonight that she's worried about her dad dying.
The pressure!!!

This is so funny! I have felt just like that at times!!! I usually have a hard time getting into the spirit of the season. Eventually I get there by focusing on the real meaning...but all the commercialization just wears on me....

Maybe that's the mountain that the Grinch lives on? Love your drawing and pictures too!

3 miles to the top? Piece of cake! Just hike it in mid summer when the days are good an long! And remember: It takes way less time to hike down!

My tree looks a bit like that at the moment. Doesn't seem to want to stand up straight. Maybe it's sick of being done up like a dog's dinner again?

How about a sick of shopping doodle to go with it?

I have my decorations down by the end of New Year's Day. Can't stand the sight of them once Christmas is over.

Rick...wow ...I am impressed! I hopped on over after reading your comment on my blog and I found yours to be very refreshing! I draw too but very primitive compared to you and I would probably never have the courage to put it on my blog....LOL!

I especially enjoyed your cartoon about buying "boy" toys for your girls...Thanks so much for leaving a comment..now I get to enjoy you!
Blessings,
Robin

Thanks for stopping by my site. I LOVE your work. My husband and I are having a blast checking it out. You said that we can pass the Christmas tree on to our friends. Does that mean I can post it and give your the credit?

To Ginger: Regarding posting this cartoon of your blog... Of course you can. I love (thrive on) the attention.

People would find me very generous when it comes to using my art - if they would only ask.

A person can't be posting their art on the web and expect that no one is going to copy it. So, an attitude of generosity is best when it comes to people asking if they can use your work. I'm always a bit surprised that one would want to. (He says while trying to be sincerely modest.)

thanks for stopping by my site and leaving a comment. i'd love to see the picture of your daughter if it reminds you of sunshine on my shoulders.

how much do you charge for a drawing. looking at some of the drawings you've done made me think about commissioning you to do some kind of drawing that depicts sunshine on MY shoulders.

To Diana: Thanks for your interest in my illustrations. There is an e-mail address listed in the right column that you can use to contact me regarding having a custom piece created for you. I don't like to post my prices on the web, but most people find me very reasonable.

Hi, Rick!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and leaving your comment, I had to chuckle! Glad you took what I had to say in stride, I wasn't trying to "male bash" or anything. :) Just trying to figure out my "better half"! I've been trying to do that for 19 yrs., and still haven't a clue! Your caricatures are really great, and your cartoons are funny! I like to draw, too, but not anywhere as talented as you! BTW, the pictures of Oregon are beautiful, maybe the Grinch lives up on top of that mountain? :) Take care!

Humbug Mountain?! HAAA! That sound like where I spend a better part of my week!! I have always wanted to visit Oregon, but perhaps we will wait till it's warmer. Not a "cold weather gal."

Since you have said it's okay, I may use your cartoon on my bog as well. With proper attribution, of course!

Merry Christmas! God bless.

OH my gosh...I love this "doodle". How funny!

I may use this on a blog post with a link to you of course! I so felt this way last night. For an instant I was ready to send all my teenage daughter's gifts Back! and then spend the money on someone less selfish.
