Something Different

I have shared a few of my photos on this blog before. Here is a link to four photo albums that I have posted on Webshots. If you are interested, I recommend that you look at the Oregon South Coast album.

People are kind and have asked me how I take such great photos. I have to be honest and say that having a digital camera has greatly improved my photography skills. When a person lives in such a beautiful part of the world, and they can take 100, or 200 pictures in a setting, then one or two of them is bound to turn out OK.

There are quite a few photos there, so I don't recommend you trying to looking at them all unless you have a little time on your hands. Here are a few to whet your appetite.

Need a new wallpaper for your computer? Be my guest. Click on any of the above photos for a full size view.

Lovely. I can't say that having a digital camera has improved my abilities. Maybe I'm just not trying hard enough.
Cheers

This is my calling card or link"Whittereronautism"until blogger comments get themselves sorted out.

Yeah I'm with Maddy. I think you still have to have an eye for taking a good picture.
There are some fabulous photos in those albums!

Oooh! I love the 3rd picture from the bottom. They are all pretty though. I recently posted some pictures of our recent ice storm. If you haven't already, stop by and take a look. I'd love your opinion.

the pic of your daughter standing on the coast looking out to sea is something like the pic i am hunting for if she had a huge skeketon key standing beside her with one arm around it ...would be very cool, her feet resting on the tang of the key ... yep very cool...

Those are awesome photos and they show some serious talent for composition. I love them, and when I am ready to ditch my winter scene that sunny scene will so be my desktop background.
You are on the blogroll....took me a few days, sorry about that.

Wow - gorgeous photos and a gorgeous place. Digital certainly does make things easier, but you still have to have an eye for what will look good. Yours are just beautiful! Thanks for stopping by my blog - I will be back to check you out more.

Ok Rick,
Happy Birthday to your sister (late, I know, I was celebrating a son's birthday on Friday.)
Also, love the photos, and the scenery. The envy.

Regarding your "sneaky" airplane doodle - do you know Larry Boy, of Veggie Tale fame? Well, the face of the man in your doodle reminds me of the guy in the Larry Boy cartoon about the angry eyebrows. The eyebrows as well as the face remind me of the "bad guy" in that cartoon.

And lastly, a funny thing. When I read your comments over on Dawn's site, first of all, you're always one of the first commenters, I notice (when you're not actually the first!) So I get about 1/2-way through your comments of late, and say to myself.... hey, this is from ... yup (as I check the name below...) RICK! It gives me a laugh anyway. Very funny about her "complement" to you, btw. Yea, I'm uh, sure that's how she meant it ;o)

That's all for now. (Isn't it enough!?!)
Except that I am enjoying all of your caricatures.

Happy Birthday Jan!
I have a big brother who teases me relentlessly. I wonder if you can relate? It is true, he teases me, but I tease him right back. We are actually very close and we are a family of six kids aswell. Our mom was a single mom and our dad decided to not stay in the picture when we were ver young. Mom died 6 years ago and I am so THANKFUL for my brothers and sisters that she gave me. We lean on each other, we dis agree with eachother, we listen to each other, we get after one another, but we love each other more then any of the other things we do together. My poor kids, I only had 5. ;o)

Thanks for commenting on my blog a few days ago.

I love the photos here! Such beautiful scenery.

I also like your own artwork. You're quite talented, and I admire your ability to create like that. I've never been able to draw artistically, in any slight way. So I'm left to express my creativity in other ways.

Enjoyed looking through your selection - they're a lot of fun. :-)

Take care!
